| Film Chale Hum - 2012 | |||||||
| Aashayein Hyderabad is organizing the most rejoicing event “Film Chale Hum – 2012” where more than 200 children will be the audience. The event is likely to be on March 1st weekend. A similar event has been conducted in Summer Camp-2009 and it was a great success. The photographs of it can be viewed here. This initiative has also been featured in an article in Deccan Chronicle Hyd edition, 6th Dec 2011. Read the article here.  For those who want to come forward and take part in this exciting event, follow the updates on Facebook here. Below is the list of activities and we are inviting nominations for them. · Social Media & Marketing Team: Create buzz about the event on FB. · Sponsorship Team: Finding sponsors for the event. · Marketing Team: Need to talk to PVR and Prasad’s management and finalize the itinerary. · Sales Team: Should help in the sale of approx 125-150 tickets which will start 2-3 weeks before the event. · Media & Press Team: This will be required from Jan 1st week. Volunteers should get in touch with some of the TV channels and Newspapers folks to cover our event. · Logistics & D-Day Team: Require volunteers. You can take part in the event by · Nominating yourself for any one of the teams. · Taking leadership for any of the activities. · Identifying sponsors and let us know ASAP. team you would want to be in. Once you have nominated yourself, we can start working as teams. For those who have already nominated, a warm welcome and a big thank you from AF Hyderabad. Come, let’s make it happen once again. | New initiative at DBR Mills Govt School (Arundhaty Upper Primary School) :) It was a great week at Arundhaty. Aashayein volunteers Shalini and Abhishek had engaged the students on Saturday. On February 14, while the world was busy sharing happiness with their loved ones, our volunteers were busy spreading joy to the kids. Chocolates were distributed to every student who was present in the school premised by 9 AM. This initiative was taken up to encourage students to be at school on time. The volunteers left with a promise that this event is going to be repeated very soon and every child who is punctual shall receive a chocolate. The teachers were extremely happy with the initiative and even praised the foundation for such innovative activities before the School Inspector.  SA Requirements AF needs few volunteers and part-time teachers who can teach basic computers to primary school children on all 6 days of the week. Teaching an hour daily is the minimum requirement.
